Amy's Music & John Tesh Page
For people who love to play music!
And for all John Tesh fans!
Hi! My name is Amy Ritchie and I'm 12 years old. I love to play the piano! I started playing the piano by ear when I was three years old, when my parents gave me a tiny keyboard for Christmas. For a while I just banged, but then one day they heard Christmas carols and it was me playing the keyboard- when I was three! I wrote some little songs by sticking alphabet stickers (A through Z) on all the keys, and then writing the letter for each key I played. It was an easy form of reading music! A while after that, my parents bought me a big upright piano. I still have that today. I started getting better and better, and my parents thought it would be good for me to read music. So I took piano lessons for less than a year, but I hated them and I was too hard for my piano teacher. So they took me out of lessons. I kind-of halfway learned to read and write music, and for a little while I wrote some small songs. But then I put it off and now I've totally forgotten how. So I just play by ear. Then I heard about John Tesh, and I loved his music. Now I play many of his songs, and a little of Yanni's, too. But mostly John Tesh, because his songs are a little easier to play. Now I also have a neat big keyboard, and sometime in the near future I may get a Baby Grand piano. I hope so! Piano playing is great and I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't play it.
John Tesh is a terrific piano player, and I play atleast fifteen of his songs. He has a lot of different CD's and tapes (though I only own 2 CDs -Red Rocks & Grand Passion- and one tape-Monterey Nights-). All his music is great, but my favorites are Barcelona, Grand Passion (which I'm working on now), Key of Love, and April song. Here are some (not all) of his CDS:
LIVE AT RED ROCKS
GRAND PASSION
GARDEN CITY
MONTEREY NIGHTS
AVALON
THE GAMES
You can see if you can check out his CD's at your local library. John Tesh has had many concerts (I have been to one), but his Live at Red Rocks concerts was great! I didn't even know about him then, but I now have the movie and CD. It was a very big, neat concert. Maybe you were there!
John Tesh is by far my most favorite music player!
